I have had these types of clips in the past. They never held well . This one works very well.
I've bought several of these now, some with the plastic teeth and some with the wire. Absolutely love how they look, especially when I just pull a portion of my hair back (which is literally all the time) and now it looks so much cuter than just using a hair band. And the big one totally will hold my hair, and I have a ton of hair!
I wanted to try one of these. I can use it to keep the air off my face, but it doesn't hold all my hair. I have really thick hair so that is understandable.
I gave it 5 stars because while it doesn't hold all of my hair back, it's good at keeping some of it back.
African Butterfly, the company is a great company and I like to support them.

Trying this out so I can pull my hair back in a way that's prettier than just my typical scrunchie bun. I'm totally surprised that the thick size comb actually holds it in place. It's still a work in progress but I think I'm going to love using this and have already purchased another style!
Now, the 5 tong did not work with my thin hair but I will reorder in a 7 tong when one is available! Love my African Butterflies❤️

I've been looking for these for a long time! One of my favorites got washed away by a big wave in St Martin, so I ordered three more, and they are all beautiful.
I got 3 of these I wasn’t sure if it would hold my long thick hair but they do! I am going back for more and I’m in love with this pink
These wired pronged clips are my absolute favorite. They work for my piles of straight hair that keeps slipping out of the others unless "caged in". They are more expensive than the others but well worth it. Wish there were a few more color options.
These hair clips are gorgeous, versatile, extremely durable, beautiful and have many beautiful colors. Make sure you know your size, as there are several. They're wonderful!
My hair is very long and using the African butterfly clip is the best thing to put my hair up. I get many complements on the clips, and I always respond with, "the question is how do I put all my long up in a clip?" I have used the clips for years. The clips are strong and durable and last for many months. When the elastic gets worn out, I know it time to order new ones.

I love this item very much with one exception the combs. I had an African butterfly comb that I had gotten at a convention loved it. It was awesome and I was expecting the same from this one. However, was somewhat disappointed that the combs do not interlock like the one that I had before. The craftsman ship is beautiful on these combs and that is why I chose to order another one. I cannot give it five stars because the combs do not fit together.
